The North Carolina Housing Coalition is focused on leading a movement to ensure that every North Carolinian has a home in which to live with dignity and opportunity. The Homeownership Assistance Program (HAP) is a partnership between the North Carolina Housing Coalition and the NC Office of Recovery and Resiliency. HAP provides up to $30,000 in Down Payment Assistance to eligible first-time homebuyers and first-generation homebuyers. Applicants must have pre-approval from a mortgage lender, they must meet income requirements, and must purchase a qualifying property in an eligible county.
